Show Report: Anti-Valentine's Day at Luce

[Ginger Suicide, Surfactants' superfan]

So it's been a week, but better late than never? Huge wet, sloppy thanks to Duck Duck Punch and International Espionage! for playing. I know that I was personally very excited to see both bands and they did not disappoint. I'm really happy to see a band like Duck Duck Punch come out of Duluth. We really need more adventurous bands like them to shake up this complacent, all-too-safe scene. And of course IE! was fantastic, not to mention resplendent in their covert-ops body suits and twirly red lights. They really are a band you need to see live, so if you get the chance, do not miss them!

Also, big thanks to everyone who came out and had a good time with us. I was really proud of the show. It's only with your help and support that we'll be able to do things like this more often. Please let your local venue of choice know that you want to see more of us! You have the power.

Here are some more photos. See you again soon!

My First Five (Eric): Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral

I remember hearing "Mr. Self Destruct" in a ethics class (yes, I went to Catholic school as a kid... which explains how fucked up I am) and also watching the video for "Closer" on MTV. Thanks to JMac, I am a NIN fan.

My First Five (Eric): Weezer - The Blue Album

One of my favorite albums of all time. "Only In Dreams" still almost brings tears to my eyes. I can thank my brother for the suggestion.

My First Five (Eric): Weird Al - Permanent Record: Al in the Box

Weird Al is awesome on so many levels... if it weren't for him, I'd be a totally different person. I can't remember shit for my final exams, but I still remember 99% of the words from every Weird Al album from his self-titled album to "Even Worse".
